Laundry is, by far, the worst, as by evidenced by the fact that you can have a robot do the vacuuming but laundry still must be done by hand. Why do we have AI making our music and our art for us, but we still have to figure out how, and fail, to fold a fitted sheet
I only have two area rugs to vacuum. It’s mopping the whole house, which has tile floors, that sucks.
But I recently bought the vacuum/mop combo thing on meh, which has made the job much easier.
The worst chore is cleaning the bathroom.
I like to buy vacuums, I just don’t like to use them.
Also remembered I have a Dreametech vac in a box in my living room from an IRK. Looks new except doesn’t work; assuming it’s the battery which is not cheap for a new replacement, and not 100% sure that would fix it but probably. I already have a bunch of Dyson stuff and tool-brand stuff. But mostly they just sit there mocking me.
@ItalianScallion My small apartment (2 rooms, 525sf) means I only have the appearance of too much stuff because I have too few rooms and not enough square feet.
@ItalianScallion Exactly. Put the same exact stuff in a 1200sf apartment/house and the place would look practically empty. It’s just the false illusion of clutter caused by something money could cure.
Vacuuming really sucks.

@TheGreatNico fitted sheets are evil!
Better than doing the dishes. Might be the best, but hard to say for sure since it wears me out and sometimes makes my back hurt.
@LaserEyes The solution to back pain while washing dishes is to be five feet tall.
@brennyn @LaserEyes Alternatively, you could dig a small pit in front of the sink.
Every time I start the vacuum, mother shuts me down. It’s her nature to abhor a vacuum.
I vacuum the floor I can reach from my recliner. That is all.
Vacuum?

Vacuuming is a severe asthma and allergy problem times 100X!!!

I’ll ask the housekeeper when she comes by tomorrow and get back to you.
I rather vacuum than clean the toilet.

From best to worst chore

@Kidsandliz Oooh, I like this! “Clutter? I have a lot of hobbies and just a one-bedroom apartment! It’s just the appearance of clutter!”
@ItalianScallion Exactly. Put the same exact stuff in a 1200sf apartment/house and the place would look practically empty. It’s just the false illusion of clutter caused by something money could cure.
@Kidsandliz You must have forgotten the old axiom, “The amount of stuff you have increases to fill the available space.”
@ItalianScallion I’ll give the stuff the stuff equivalent of birth control. No problem.
Ranking:
The worst chore <= Vacuuming <= The best chore
But IMO they’re all rank.
